Each day, many of us wonder what dreadful, amazing thing will follow the next day. This is not a healthy way to live, albeit understandable during these times. It is easy to feel overcome with sadness, anger, despair. As human beings many of us have a tendency to see the worst and prepare for battle. Perhaps we can practice seeing the best and prepare for that battle. In a best case scenario – what time would you get up in the morning? What would you wear for the day? What phone call would you make? To whom? How would you relax? Would you pray? Do it! Would you meditate? Do it! Would you “dance like no one was watching!”? Do that too! Build into your life – starting today – a time for peace – a quiet time – even if just a moment.
Focus – even if just for a moment – really focus – on what you can do – not what you can’t. Do a little of this every day – If will help you to feel better. You will help you to feel better. And yes, you are worth it.
